How to Evaluate an Agriculture Investment Before You Commit: A Checklist
Questions to ask, documents to read and sites to visit before putting money into any farming project.
Agriculture can be a real business, but it is also exposed to weather, prices and management. A calm checklist protects you better than an exciting promise.
- Is there a real project? Visit the site. See land, plants, ponds or animals yourself.
- Is the agreement written? Terms, duration, profit-sharing method and exit should be on paper.
- Who is the company? Check registration, address and the people you will deal with.
- Are returns promised as fixed? Be careful. Farming profit depends on actual results; any fixed, guaranteed return needs a very good explanation.
- How are accounts shared? Ask how you will see updates and statements.
- Can you afford the risk? Only invest what you can keep tied up and, in the worst case, lose.
Our approach
We invite partners into real projects through written agreements, and we encourage you to verify our documents and visit our sites first. Profit share depends on actual business performance and is not guaranteed. Read the details on our investment page or open the investor portal.
